I felt the need to brighten up todays cold and rainy weather with a preview into MONOTONE CC's spring/summer offerings. The first set of previews will be a few tee's from the lines next season titled "MISSIONS". Throughout all things individuals set out on missions to either reach a new destination/plateau, and also to accomplish new goals and overcome obstacles to strengthen themselves, or their camp. Im kinda liking these HIGHLIGHT SPOTLIGHT, cause it gives a look into MT/One Shade Ahead and where its future is going and the individuals affiliated with it. Its monumental, when after grinding so hard and building a well known brand, you get a flagship storefront for that brand. What brand are we talking about, no other than SOULFUL COMMANDOE. OSA was there thru the start to the finish of the build of this store, to its amazing opening party during Memorial Day Weekend, to its high profile debut in the summer runway show thrown by Art Institute Inland Empire. The soulful dude himself Nick Mayfield has done a great job pushing Soulful Commandoe to that next level where you see signature pieces on Chris Brown, Keri Hilson and all throughout the Lil'Wayne documentary. Keep your eyes opens cause the next seasons coming real soon and its FIRE. This is part 1 to the first set of adventures spoke of above with Soulful Commandoe and our boy Nick Mayfield.

Since this editorial spot is fairly new....i thought it might be cool to have a HIGHLIGHT SPOTLIGHT of one of my favorite months from 2009, so here we go. December 26th 2009 was the release of project between Monotone and a brand that i respect more than I can articulate, PWA(people with agendas). Together we set out to create a project that was real and genuine to not only us and our brands, but to everyone out in the world, so we created the RECESSION PACK. I feel blessed that the entire event was packed with nothing but great friends, family and supporters. Aiding in the success where no other than VisualAdhesive/DJ Kickstand on the camera and turntables, DJ QZeBee, and Monotone's house favorites Nicky Savage and MCNicNice. The Riv Representatives CHUBBY BOOB made it out, along with some of CITRUS COUNTIES finest Triumvir and IMKING. Hope you enjoy this flashback.
